We're back!
Please accept my apologies for the site's downtime. My domain registration expired and for some unknown reason was still set to manual renewal. The issue has been fixed.

Poppy's Corner
So sorry some of you missed our Brell Day celebration last night. As people began to roll in I suggested to Caels (twisted his arm) to lead us all around in doing the 3 Brell quests inside that loverly tavern. Besides Caels, myself, Kyrana, Clide, and Matheaw, we also had our new member Beighteen from the Phillapines join along. What a hoot! Getting drunk was never so much fun! We saw pink elephants, talking cabbages, flying pigs and if you drank enough even trolls looked good! Poor Amakau had to do his drunken traveling solo, sorry Ama we just had a full group.
We we went to turn in our discoveries to the proper people in the tavern, poor Poppy was so drunk that when she ported to Commonlands to pick up the pink elephant ding she had missed earlier, she carried along all the rest of the group! Oops! But wizzys can always find their way home again so we all managed to return to the tavern and collect our rewards. There is a pink elephant in the guild hall as well as a cute little cabbage plushie. Hmmm, guess we need a flying pig now...
Thanks to all who joined in and even on a spur of the moment event we all had fun. Thanks Caels for leading us around (even while talking to hot, Thai babe while running) and thanks to all the rest who joined in.
Our only real disaster came when Matheaw could not complete the third quest because he did not have the Kunark expansion and so could not get to Gorowyn area. Sorry Matheaw. Side note - you will need the Kunark expansion to complete the Ale Goggles quest. Once again, thanks to all who came along for the wild ride!

Poppy Notes: New Amenities! Vec is Back! The Airship is Coming!
Hello hello! First off I would like to welcome back our A-Team (and B-Team) 5-boxing wizz Vecartibes. Welcome back Vec, we are so glad you made it home safe and sound. There have been some changes in game since you left but I am sure you will be back in fine form very soon.
I would also like to thank Vec for his generous donation of coin which allowed us to purchase the junk buyer (which also takes relics and gives status), and the Shattered Lands Bell. Mich was also generous recently and with his donation we were able to purchase the last collector hireling (trapper/fishing).
The hireling addition will allow us to help the tailors, provisioners, and others who use pelts-fish-meats. The Commodities Exporter will give everyone (good and evil) a place to sell all that wonderful junk we have collected during our adventures. She will also buy relics and give you status points Smile and best of all... we now have a bell for travel among the Shattered Lands. This includes travel to:
Antonica - Everfrost - Lavastorm - Nek Forest - Commonlands - Enchanted Lands - Ferrott - Thundering Steppes - Zek.
Thank you Mich and Vec. Many others have also donated coin and status and I would like to thank you all for your support to the Stormrunner Guild Hall. Come on in and enjoy the benefits and if you see a toon without a home, go ahead and invite them to come try us on for size.
Oh, almost forgot - The D.I.R.T.Y. excavation teams are unearthing a wonderful new discovery that will soon lead Norrath into a whole new era of adventuring. If you go to Sinking Sands (there is a carpet to SS in the Hall) you will be able to be a part of that new discovery. This also gives a great opportunity to not only level up those alts in adventure exp. but also in crafting exp. There is an opportunity to receive a 35% carpet with just a little work with the teams and a few other goodies are available as well. Just climb the wall near the dock and speak to Jimbo. Adventure on!

Harvest Depot and Harvester Hirelings
OK everyone, Some Guidelines to follow in the use of the Harvest Depot and the Harvester Hirelings.
1. Only raws of tier 4 or Higher are to be placed in the Harvesting Depot.
2. No Rare raws are to be placed in the Depot.
3. Only harvested items are to be placed in the Depot. Raws that are drops
use a separate slot thereby wasting space.
4. Place raws from tiers 1 - 3, Rares and dropped raws in the Guild bank.
5. IF you need to send out the harvesters on a run for Tiers 1 - 3 then please
only send out the harvester you need, send the others out on Tiers 4 and
above. Also please be there to pick up the items you need at the end of
the 2 hour period.
6. If you access the harvesters and there are items ready for delivery
please take them and put them in either the Harvest Depot (tier 4 and
above) or the guild bank (tier 1 - 3}.
7. The Harvesters do not bring back rares so if you need them and they are
not in the guild bank you will still have to harvest or buy them.
8. If you use a Rare from the bank Please donate one or more rares of the
same or different tier to the bank to help others.

Poppy Notes on Guild Hall
Hi Everyone! Well, we now have a tier 1 Guild Hall based in North Qeynos. Come on in! If you are of the evil persuation just make your way to Antonic then near the griff tower jump into the "moat" and swim across to a grating under water that goes to the Peat Bog and click the grating. You will arrive in the Peat Bog from there find the entrance into Vermin's Snye (there are level 20 guards in there but easily avoided). Check your maps or give someone a shout we will help you find the Vermin's Snye sewer grate. Click the grate and you then go to the Down Below. Once you are in the Down Below the grate to North Qeynos is just across from you. Click it, you will enter North Qeynos. The Guild Hall is directly ahead, the guards can be easily avoided just run up to the building stay to the left side and the entrance is around the corner. Enter and remember to click the guild beacon which is an odd looking sculpture to your left in the corner. It has a ball on top, it will give you a Call to Guild Hall button. Then you can enter anytime, from anywhere.
We already have a few amenities -
Banker
Broker
Crafting Fuel Merchant
Gathering Hireling
Mining Hireling
A Mailbox
A Carpet to SS
We have a complete set of crafting stations in the basement, a lovely bar upstairs with a hot tub, and a bar and dance room down stairs (with beds for those occasional crazy orgy's LOL). A dining hall is still be worked on and there is another room with a star map in it which I think would make a good tactical plans room.
If anyone has any item they would like to put in the hall go ahead and place the item. It you cannot adjust the position then someone(an officer or leader) can do for you.
I would like to have an open house this weekend so please plan on stopping in - there is plenty of Brells Beverage and I plan on bringing yummy goodies. So come on in, party a little, and spend some time with your guildies. We would love to see old faces as well as our newer ones!

Mich's Plea :)
Ring the bell, rally the neighbors, sent out the rallying cry! Stormrunners needs to raise a guild hall! It will take teamwork, it will take great effort. We are about 950pp and about 8 and ½ levels from raising the roof! I know that we can and will accomplish the goal in the future, but what a great time to solicit help from each other and even from those names from the past and new names for the future. Can you contribute Plat, writs, relics, HQ completions, etc? If you willing and able, we need your efforts! Let’s continue the fantastic progress and journey of the guild and continue to write new chapters of our history together!
Go Stormrunners!
Mich

Poppy's FanFaire Report
Hello Everyone! Boy, you all missed a great weekend... I hope I can go again and be able to see more Stromrunners there. The guild Fabled had a fair number of people and I really missed having some Stormrunners to keep me company.
I have posted more details at my blog... GrandHeartSongs.blogspot.com so feel free to go check it out. Also you can find tons of pictures (including a few I contributed) at www.flickr.com/groups/fanfaire2008
What I want to talk about here mostly is the new guild halls we will be able to get. I will go thru the basic info they gave to us. Buying a guild hall will be done by a Guild Leader. Only one hall per guild at a time. We will not need status to purchase the hall but we will need plat. Lots of plat. There will be three tiers based on guild level. Level 30 guilds may purchase a tier 1 hall for 100 plat. Level 50 guilds can go up to a tier 2 hall for 500 plat. And level 70 guilds may get the biggest and best hall for 1000 plat. The tier 3 hall has 25 rooms which we outfit as we wish and as our savings allows.
Guild halls will have a weekly upkeep of status and coin -
T1 = 1P and 100,000 status
T2 = 5P and 150,000 status
T3 = 10P and 200,000 status
Plat and coin will be furnished by all members on an optional contribution basis. Each member can contribute the weekly amount of coin and status he/she wishes. All go into an Escrow account. Players can deposit coin or status thru a housing window. NO withdrawals are allowed, once your contribution goes in, it then becomes property of the guild. Hall upkeep is automatically deducted from escrow. Amenities may also be purchased using the escrow deposits.
Access levels are the same as in housing ...
Officer - defaults to Trustee
Member - defaults to Friend
Applicant - defaults to Visitor
Visiting access is defaulted to None.
All these levels may be changed by a guild leader.
The amenity system is great! Each Hall tier provides a set number of slots available that can be filled with amenities for the guild. Amenities are features that provide function and convenience. There are 2 forms: Hirelings (NPCs) and Amenities (Objects). These may be purchased by members with trustee access and the cost is deducted from the escrow accounts. Amenities appear at a pre-determined location and can be moved by those with Friend access. These cannot be "picked up" and put into your inventory but may be removed via access window.
Some of the available amenities include a guild mender, a guild harvester, portals to various locations, crafting stations, and much more. I just couldn't take notes fast enough on all the different amenities. Of course these will all cost us.
I would like to suggest that we all start intensifying our contibutions to guild status now so we can get to the level 70 tier hall. We are only 9 levels away but if everyone continues like we have been we should be there in no time. The expansion will launch in mid November so we have quite a bit of time. Our hall will be located in Antonica because halls are offered according to citizenship and I believe all the guild leaders are from Qeynos. There will be world events leading up to the expansion which will include building the halls and as best I remember this will also net you a new title if you participate.
The new expansion is called The Shadow Odyssey and will introduce us to some old dungeons some of us may remember from Everquest. Befallen, Guk, and Najena are just a few. There are others as well. We will also see new transportation such as "Airships" which will have world events to open these up to us and we will also see new mounts that are available to crafters as they complete new crafting quests that will lead you to new lands. Here is a site that will show you the trailer we were treated to at the community address by CEO Smedley: www.gametrailers.com/p...1&type=wmv you may have to cut and paste the link I am not sure I am getting them to work inside the forums. There will be 20 new zones in the expansion and us solo artists have not been forgotten.
Many of you use the data base site allakazam... well, the original builder of this site is starting a new site in conjunction with SOE and he has promised a site that will be even more comprehensive with SOE blessings and help. It is called Zam.com, but I haven't looked yet to see if anything is started yet.
I purchased a copy of Pirates of the Burning Sea and I hope to try this adventuring on the high seas as soon as the update downloading is complete. Many hours so far... arrrrr.
Oh, the new titles coming out are DC Universe Online, The Agency, and Free Realms. Each has its own appeal and Free Realms looks especially fun to me. Well, I will get this posted and will answer questions as I can... just let me know. See you all soon - Poppy

Poppy's Observations
Very Happy A big welcome home to Mich, hope you had a great time at your reunion. Glad to have you back and hope to see you soon.
I would also like to congratulate Yvette on becoming our newest officer. Yvette has offered her ranger cunning and guile to help get groups together or to just give a hand if anyone needs help. Thanks Yvette! I did announce this in the Message of the Day but decided I should also post here in the forums because I know there are a few of you that actually come in and see what's going on. Wink
Shocked My next subject is the new ingame voice chat. Please use it. It is easy and a great way to really connect with your guildies. You don't even have to talk if you are shy, just join in and listen to the occasional banter (when there are folks actually ingame). We don't bite and besides, we are all family in Stormrunners so come on in and hang out.
It has been a little lonely lately in game but I know that summer is in full swing and you all are out enjoying life. Just keep in touch, I really wonder how all the guildies are doing when I don't get to see them regularly.
Cool Don't forget that Part 2 of the Tempest Storm questline is now active... go take care of those pesky storms and get yourself a new title.... Shadow Assailant. Also, crafters might want to check in with the grandmaster in your respective city and see if he has new quests to send you on. Have you gotten your Crafter's Formal Wear yet?
Well, guess that's all for this time...still excited about FanFaire... now to get back to the alts and work on that Shadow Assailant title for them.
Live long and prosper.... (hmmm, sounds familiar) Laughing
